These are from Post Office directories of Birmingham and Yardley, except where indicated. Where a district is in brackets, this shows where Yardley was separated into separate sequences. It is clear from Nash and the Tithe Apportionment that the directories are by no means comprehensive until the late nineteenth century.

The Smiths are not listed in 1901, Henry Redding appears at Yardley Wood in 1904 but is not listed in 1906, when Roe, J and Son appears, the Loughtons are not listed in 1905. We are not certain that Loughtons were within Yardley's boundaries, as there were two works at Solihull Lodge. In the last year of Yardley's separate existence, Derringtons, Hemming and two entries for Lewis were the only ones left.
